Amendment 13 to the Protection of Privacy Law, which was passed by the Knesset, imposes a new obligation to appoint DPO on hundreds (and possibly thousands) of organizations in the coming year.

Similar to the requirement set out in the GDPR, in Israel, privacy protection officers must have the knowledge and skills required to fulfill the position, including in-depth knowledge of privacy protection laws and an understanding of the technology and information security required in the circumstances. Inspired by the GDPR, Amendment 13 is expected to require that the Director-General serve/serve as a professional authority and a center of knowledge and advice for the organization's management.

In light of this demand, the School of Continuing Education has developed the most practical training in the country which was chosen by the Privacy Protection Authority! The purpose of the course is to provide privacy protection officers with the knowledge and tools required to fulfill their duties in the most comprehensive and professional manner, with the main emphasis on practice and practice how to conduct one's job successfully the day after the course. The studies prepare for the challenges of the job with the help of lecturers, all of whom are experts in their field and have extensive experience in the field, and with the help of exercises and the use of a unique simulator "War Game" a simulation of a real crisis related to the protection of privacy, in which the role of the DPO in the event is practically practiced.

The academic director of the course is Eyal Sage, an attorney with a private practice with 30 years of experience in the field, and the selection of all the academic staff was done with the aim of imparting practical knowledge in a variety of areas of knowledge required for the position.
