Biography

Philip represents clients in both the firm’s complex commercial Litigation and Privacy & Data Security practice groups.

He advises businesses regarding regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategy, and has experience representing clients in all phases of litigation in court, before arbitrators and at the negotiating table. He has litigated commercial and employment matters, including breach of contract, business tort and wrongful termination claims.

Philip frequently prepares and revises client data processing agreements, website policies and employee privacy notices. Additionally, he has advised clients on policies and procedures for compliance with applicable state, federal, and internal privacy laws including the General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

Clients in various industries rely on Philip to draft memorandums on proper notices for collection and processing of consumer data. He has also authored a detailed comparative analysis of consumer rights under California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Utah privacy laws.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Philip was an associate at a national law firm. He previously clerked for the Honorable William T. Newman, Chief Judge of the Arlington County Circuit Court, where he also served as a judicial intern during law school. Also while earning his law degree, Philip was a legal intern for an international hotel chain and a senior law clerk at a business and commercial law firm based in Washington, D.C.
