Biography

Robin is Managing Partner of the firm’s Oklahoma City Office and Co-Chair of the firmwide Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group.

A tireless advocate for clients in the oil and gas and other energy industries, she focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation — including bet-the-company matters, environmental concerns, workplace safety disputes, qui tam/whistleblower cases, multistate class actions and other multidistrict litigation (MDL). Robin is often brought in when the stakes are high, serving as lead counsel in matters before state and federal courts, and a range of alternative dispute resolution forums.

As comfortable wearing a hardhat as she is a trial suit, Robin often visits drilling sites and power plant floors to learn firsthand about the complicated disputes that threaten her clients’ livelihood. From there, she works collaboratively with a company’s C-Suite to methodically identify problems, map out goals and develop detailed, step-by-step strategies to achieve success.

Approaching litigation like a chess master, Robin looks five moves ahead — anticipating potential problems and devising early strategies to address them. She selects technical experts, deposes key witnesses and conducts detailed discovery to identify issues from all sides of the case. Armed with this information, she proactively and assertively pursues the case.

Robin's environmental litigation practice covers the full spectrum of oil and gas operations. She guides clients through groundwater and soil contamination matters, as well as drilling, producing, gas gathering, processing, transporting and industry-wide measurement actions. She also counsels clients on oil and gas contract disputes involving natural gas storage, joint operating agreements, marketing, pricing, deductions, balancing and royalty issues.

Her complex litigation practice includes internal reviews of her client’s business practices to recognize potential complications and develop creative solutions. And when corporate matters turn into legal action, Robin partners with her clients to strategically address and resolve the driving concerns.
