This session will cover the following topics: Background on opioid use and abuse among older adults; impact of recent federal legislation to curb opioid use and abuse; risk management challenges presented by opioid use and abuse among older adults; survey risks for hospice agencies related to opioid disposal; and strategies to deal with drug diversion.
