Biography

Tom is Co-Chair of the firm’s Medical Technology Practice. For more than 25 years, he has worked exclusively in this space, guiding early-stage and middle-market public companies from initial formation through product development, clinical studies, regulatory approval and commercialization phases, focusing on angel, venture capital and strategic financing, acquisitions and exit transactions.

He has a wealth of knowledge about the MedTech industry and a deep network of connections among founders, entrepreneurs, executives and investors.

Solutions-oriented and practical in his approach, Tom helps his clients navigate the major financing decisions they undertake throughout the business life cycle. He leads the legal work on major transactions, including angel, venture capital, and strategic financing, acquisitions and exit transactions. He also advises on technology acquisition and licensing.

Tom also advises boards of directors on fiduciary duties in connection with financing and exit transactions.

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Tom serves on the Board of Directors of The Shooting Star Foundation, an organization that helps Minnesota children with special needs to receive early-interventional therapy. He is a Minnesota Director of the Western Golf Association, which oversees the nation's largest scholarship program for caddies through its Evans Scholars Program.

Tom also serves on the Board of Governors of the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis.
