Biography

Alec's practice is centered on real estate, low-income housing and complex development financing.

His work includes handling matters involving mixed-finance projects, low-income housing tax credits and public housing regulations.

Alec assists public housing authority and developer clients with a variety of complex debt and equity financing matters, including federal low-income housing tax credit transactions, project-based vouchers, project-based rental assistance under the Rental Assistance Demonstration program and HOPE VI grants. He serves as bond counsel and borrower's counsel in tax-exempt financings and routinely advises public housing authorities on regulatory matters at the federal, state and local level. Alec has also represented landowner clients in oil and gas lease negotiations and related mineral rights matters.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining Fox, Alec was an associate in the Pittsburgh office of a multistate firm, where he began as a summer associate. He previously worked as a legal intern for the National Law Center on Homelessness & Poverty and the Neighborhood Legal Services Association.

During law school, Alec worked as an associate for The George Washington Law Review and as an assistant for the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project at George Washington University Law School.

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Alec serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Riverview Apartments, Inc., an affordable housing community for senior residents. He was selected as a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL).
