Biography

Devin is a partner in the Labor & Employment Department who counsels employers in resolving complex workforce challenges. He draws on years of litigation and trial experience and brings a practical, results-oriented perspective to every matter he handles.

His experience spans the full range of employment law. He defends and counsels employers in wage and hour matters and discrimination and harassment claims, and drafts and negotiates employment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, restrictive covenants and employment policies, including employee handbooks.

Devin also has extensive courtroom experience, including serving as first chair and second chair in jury trials. He understands the risks and expense of employment disputes and harnesses that insight to guide clients to avoid them.

He advises businesses on workforce restructuring and has experience guiding clients through the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions. His clients range from startups to established enterprises across multiple jurisdictions.

Devin is particularly fluent in defending and counseling employers on wage and hour claims and discrimination and harassment allegations at the federal, state and local levels. He also advises employers on matters involving workplace safety, leave and accommodation obligations and trade secret protection.

He also partners with in-house legal teams, human resources leadership, and C-suite executives to build strategies that reduce exposure and support long-term business objectives.

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Devin is a frequent speaker on employment law topics. He has participated in panels and served as faculty in continuing legal education programs. He also provides trainings to employers on a range of employment-related concepts, including compliance best practices, workplace investigations and risk mitigation strategies.

An actively involved alumnus of St. John’s University School of Law, Devin serves as a mentor to law students and remains involved with the Labor Relations & Employment Law Society, a student-run organization.

Before Fox Rothschild

Devin began his career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the New York City Law Department, where he handled matters in both the Special Litigation Unit and the Labor and Employment Law Division. Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, he practiced in the labor and employment departments of two national law firms. Devin has served as a first chair and second chair in multiple jury trials.
