Since 2020, hundreds of anti-LGBTQ bills have been introduced and made their way through state legislatures. This trend continued in 2021, breaking records for such legislation targeting transgender people. It has not abated in 2022.

Join Colleen McGarry, Brian McGinnis and Shannon Pierce for an update to their 2021 presentation, “A Wave of Anti-Transgender Legislation.” Presented by Fox Rothschild's LGBTQ & Allies Initiative, the webinar will also include a summary of bills on gender-confirming health care, youth sports and bathroom access, the various legal objections to such measures, and how they will affect individuals, businesses and institutions, particularly in the contexts of education and employment.

We will also look ahead to challenges that are expected and/or have already started to appear in lower courts, as well as threats to established Supreme Court precedent in light of the leaked Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization opinion.
