Biography
Eileen advises clients in the biotech and pharma industries on patent strategy and portfolio management.
Former in-house patent agent and attorney at multiple biotech and pharmaceutical companies, she has a precise understanding of problems her clients face and leverages that knowledge in managing their patent portfolios worldwide. In addition to patent drafting and prosecution, she counsels clients on non-infringement and invalidity issues and also performs patentability, freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses. Eileen also supports IP due diligence activities in connection with funding events, acquisitions and licensing deals.
Eileen’s background is in genomics and pathobiology. She has a strong knowledge of a wide range of technologies including antibodies and antibody conjugates, fusion proteins, cellular immunotherapies, gene therapy, peptides, antisense oligonucleotides, as well as diagnostics, molecular assays, nucleic acid preparation and sequencing methods, microbial engineering and bioproduction, tissue targeted labeling, and formulations.
Before Fox Rothschild
Eileen joined us from a boutique intellectual property law firm in Seattle. She previously practiced as an in-house patent agent and attorney at several pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Before entering the legal profession, Eileen performed research at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research. There, she worked on identifying and characterizing the mouse pudgy mutation, a developmental genetic disorder. Her graduate research at the University of Washington focused on the pathobiology of Treponema pallidum subsp. pallidum in syphilis infection.

Eileen was a guest lecturer at Seattle University School of Law, University of Washington School of Law, and University of Washington Chemistry Graduate School on topics in Intellectual Property.
