EEOC & Employment Discrimination
Employment discrimination and harassment class actions pose more than legal and financial risks. They can cause serious damage to a company’s reputation.
You can count on our accomplished team to defend your interests against class discrimination claims in state and federal court and before state and federal agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Our team has litigated some of the largest EEOC systemic enforcement actions in the country, including successfully defending pattern and practice and disparate impact claims from inception through trial.
We handle the full spectrum of harassment and discrimination claims including those based on race, gender, age, disability, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation and more.
Our experienced attorneys conduct internal, privileged investigations to uncover the facts and provide you with a full picture of potential liability. Then we’ll work with you to develop an effective, efficient defense strategy that aligns with your concerns and goals for resolving the dispute. Many of these cases are won or lost at the expert witness stage. We can bridge the gap between statistical analysis of the relevant data and understanding how that data can be used to refute theories of discrimination.
Prevention
We’ll also provide you with the tools you need to reduce your company’s risk of being accused of systemic workplace discrimination. That includes creating policies and procedures that help prevent such allegations and training management, supervisors and employees on their application.
Because such claims often arise from decisions surrounding hiring, demotions and promotions, reductions-in-force and terminations, we advise on these decisions and work closely with employers to create strong, formalized internal processes to reduce the risk of conflict and litigation.
