Fox Rothschild Represents Wisp in Acquisition of TBD Health
Robert S. Stroud, chair of Fox Rothschild’s Health Care Transactions Practice Group, represented Wisp, a women’s telehealth provider, in its acquisition of sexual health provider TBD Health. This is Wisp’s first acquisition and major expansion into enterprise and hybrid care models.
TBD is a national hybrid sexual health and diagnostics platform serving tens of thousands of individuals. The companies hope to expand access to sexual health, particularly for women who are underrepresented in uptake and use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). PrEP utilization has been shown to reduce the risk of contracting HIV through sex by 99%.
The deal will accelerate Wisp’s B2B strategy. To date, Wisp has served 1.8 million patients. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
