Biography
Isaac is a member of our Land Banking Team, where he represents institutional investors, such as private equity funds and other capital providers in the acquisition, development, and disposition of residential real estate through land banking transactions and development lending.
His work spans the full lifecycle of these transactions, from the initial acquisition of entitled land and horizontal development, through the negotiation of construction agreements and lot option agreements with national and regional home builders, to the post-closing modifications required to capture the living nature of each transaction.
Isaac provides transactional support on traditional land banking deals and is a key player in managing shorter term revolver deals. In addition, he supports the team's loan work, focusing on the due diligence required to ensure that the entities holding the land are properly structured and documented, and that the underlying agreements between builders, developers, and other third parties are accurately contemplated.
On a day-to-day basis, Isaac handles title and survey review, analyzing the real property that serves as collateral to confirm access, water rights, and other attributes essential to the land's value. He also conducts due diligence on purchase agreements, builder agreements, and entity organizational structures and memberships.
Isaac is committed to adding value at every stage of a deal. He is a proactive communicator who focuses on identifying and surfacing potential issues early, presenting all available options to the partners and clients he supports, and remaining flexible in his role to help drive transactions to a successful close. His goal is straightforward: make sure every deal closes smoothly and that no issue goes unaddressed.
