Biography

Isaac is a former trial attorney at the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division and is a member of the firm's Taxation & Wealth Planning Department. Isaac represents individuals and businesses in tax controversies and related matters and has significant experience litigating civil tax cases in federal district and bankruptcy court.

His experience includes:

  • Corporate and individual tax refund suits
  • Employment taxes and Trust Fund Recovery Penalties
  • Foreign bank account reporting penalties (FBARs)
  • Bankruptcy matters

Isaac also provides proactive advice on a broad range of tax compliance and reporting issues.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Isaac was a trial attorney at the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division, where he was hired through the Attorney General’s Honors Program. In 2022, Isaac received a Special Commendation Award from the Tax Division for successfully representing the United States in a suit involving the assessment of Trust Fund Recovery Penalties.

In law school, Isaac served as a judicial intern for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, an intern for the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division, an enforcement division extern for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and an extern in the Advertising Practices Division of the Federal Trade Commission.

Before law school, Isaac was a high school science teacher in Meridian, Mississippi where he taught physics, chemistry and physical science and coached cross-country running and track.
