Biography
Jocelyn represents businesses, real estate professionals, lenders and other commercial clients in dispute resolution proceedings and in high-stakes litigation in state and federal court. She focuses her practice on commercial and real estate litigation as well as creditors' rights.
Jocelyn leads cases from inception through resolution, including developing litigation strategy, preparing and arguing motions, managing complex discovery, taking and defending depositions, negotiating settlements and handling appeals. Her experience spans a wide range of disputes, including contract claims, business torts, real estate issues, restrictive covenant matters, commercial collections and judgment enforcement proceedings. Clients value Jocelyn’s responsiveness, strategic vision and ability to translate complicated legal issues into practical business advice.
Her recent successes include, after briefing and argument on complex procedural and due process issues, obtaining an order opening confessed judgments in excess of $23 million on behalf of a commercial auto dealership engaged in a dispute with its landlord, allowing the matter to be litigated on the merits
