At the forefront of serving clients in the cannabis industry, Fox Rothschild LLP’s nationwide Cannabis Law Group was once again named a Practice Group of the Year by Law360.

This coveted annual list honors the attorney teams behind litigation wins and major deals that resonated throughout the legal industry in the past year.

Fox’s team was first named to the list in 2019 and has continued to represent prominent cannabis businesses in structuring landmark multistate deals and facilitating industry-shaping mergers and acquisitions worth more than $2 billion.

With more than 60 attorneys coast to coast, the team serves as regulatory and merger and acquisition strategists to cannabis growers, distributors, processors, investors, manufacturers, technology companies and market leaders. The team has deep experience offering guidance on litigation, tax issues, real estate, intellectual property and employment law as well as corporate and financing work, including banking, entity formation and venture capital. They have also guided government authorities on cannabis-related legislation and worked closely with clients to craft effective comments and opinions on legislation affecting their respective cannabis markets.

The group publishes several valuable resources for businesses seeking guidance on regulatory developments in the legal cannabis market, including two state-by-state surveys of marijuana laws – a National Survey on Marijuana Laws and Regulations and a National Survey on Marijuana in the Workplace and Drug Testing Laws; a Cannabis Industry State Tax Guide; and “In the Weeds,” a blog that monitors developments in marijuana law and business.
