Companies that rely on governmental work are frequently required to comply with affirmative action and equal employment opportunity requirements (AAP/EEO) to obtain and maintain their government contracts. Due to the complexity of the AAP/EEO laws and regulations as well as aggressive enforcement activities by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), the risks of a company being audited and found noncompliant have skyrocketed.

At this program, participants will learn:

• Who is subject to OFCCP jurisdiction under the affirmative action laws and regulations
• Steps a contractor should take to be in compliance with the affirmative action laws and regulations prior to receiving a compliance evaluation audit
• How contractors are selected for an OFCCP audit
• What occurs after a contractor is selected for an OFCCP compliance evaluation audit
• Types of information/data a contractor will have to produce during an audit
• Tips on responding to OFCCP compliance evaluation notice requests and to follow-up requests from OFCCP compliance officers
• Potential penalties for a contractor that fails to meet its affirmative action obligations
