Labor & Employment Attorney Mark Eskenazi Joins Fox Rothschild in Washington, DC
Fox Rothschild welcomes Mark G. Eskenazi to the Washington, DC office as Counsel in the Labor & Employment Department.
Eskenazi draws on 15 years of experience with the federal government shaping U.S. labor policy, including at the White House and the National Labor Relations Board, to provide employers with practical advice on federal labor law compliance.
He provides clients in the education, nonprofit and other sectors with solutions-oriented guidance on collective bargaining administration, labor arbitrations and issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act. He also advises employers on day-to-day personnel matters, including internal investigations, discrimination and harassment allegations, and reasonable accommodations for disabilities.
Eskenazi was previously with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, where he represented the United States in labor-related matters arising under trade agreements. In 2023, he served as Director for International Economics in the White House, holding a joint appointment to the National Security Council and the National Economic Council. In that capacity, he developed U.S. policy on labor, trade, and supply chain issues.
In 2024, President Biden nominated Eskenazi to serve as a Commissioner on the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions approved his nomination on a strongly bipartisan vote, although the nomination was returned without a Senate vote.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than 10 years with the National Labor Relations Board, where his work spanned investigations, litigation, rulemaking and the drafting of adjudicatory decisions. He has also practiced in the labor and employment groups of two global law firms.
Eskenazi earned his J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
