Biography
Meeghan assists clients in resolving their litigation needs, focusing on commercial, intellectual property, entertainment, and appellate matters. With both trial and appellate experience, Meeghan is adept at protecting clients’ immediate interests while also looking ahead to identify future risks and opportunities.
Entertainment industry clients count on Meeghan for sophisticated advice on copyright, trademark and other intellectual property matters as well as deal negotiation and litigation prevention, informed by an insider perspective on the business she acquired as a former actress and musician. She also guides clients through a full range of IP transactions and prosecution matters, including trademark enforcement, such as opposing proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the USPTO; drafting and negotiating trademark and copyright agreements; and domain name and social media disputes.
Meeghan has represented film studios, video game developers and publishers, and Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of business and IP matters.
Meeghan is a committed advocate for her clients and works closely with them to fully understand their issues and champion them as if they were her own.
Before Fox Rothschild
Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Meeghan was a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of a national law firm. She was also a law clerk in the Business and Legal Affairs department at Fox Sports before serving as a judicial extern to the Honorable John A. Kronstadt of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
During law school, Meeghan served as a Staff Editor for Spotlight: USC’s Entertainment Law Journal, while also taking part in USC’s Immigration Clinic and acting as a peer mentor. Meeghan graduated law school with certificates in Business Law and Media and Entertainment Law.
Before enrolling in law school, Meeghan pursued a career as a musician, releasing music as a solo artist and joining an all-girl pop group created by JC Chasez of *NSYNC and Golden Globe® award-winning producer and songwriter Jimmy Harry. Meeghan was also Miss Teen Asia USA from 2011 to 2012, using her platform to advocate for the integration of eastern and western cultures.
Beyond Fox Rothschild
In addition to her law practice, Meeghan is an adjunct professor at USC Gould School of Law, where she teaches copyright law in the context of the entertainment industry, and part of the USC Alumni Network, volunteering her time to mentor students interested in pursuing careers in law. She is also an active member of the Asian-American community and continues to campaign for Asian representation and integration in various industries.
