Carol Thorstad-Forsyth Appointed Master of the Bench for the Florida Intellectual Property American Inn of Court
Fox Rothschild congratulates Carol Thorstad-Forsyth on her appointment as a Master of the Bench for the newly formed Florida Intellectual Property American Inn of Court. In this role, she will help guide chapter programming and mentor emerging members.
Launched in September 2026, the Florida Intellectual Property American Inn of Court is a statewide professional chapter dedicated to intellectual property law. It is part of the Linn Inn Alliance, a network of 30 IP-focused inns within the American Inns of Court that brings legal professionals together to promote mentorship, professionalism, ethics and civility.
Thorstad-Forsyth, a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, advises market leaders in global communications, consumer goods, defense contracting and software solutions on strategies to protect and strengthen their intellectual property. She assists clients with invention brainstorming, IP portfolio strategy, global portfolio management, competitive landscape analysis and patent prosecution.
She chairs the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Membership Committee. A longtime active member of AIPLA, Thorstad-Forsyth previously served as vice chair of the Membership Committee; chair and vice chair of the Women in IP Committee (WiIPC); and chair of WiIPC’s Outreach Subcommittee. She also founded and formerly co-chaired the AIPLA Cares Women in IP National Community Service Event.
