Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Jeremy R. Sayre on his selection to the 2023 Employment Power List by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly.

The annual list recognizes attorneys across the state who “stand out in employment law.”

In the guide, Sayre describes how his math and computer background allows him to “approach legal issues differently than his clients and other attorneys.”  Through his early career as a software engineer and now through his legal practice, he says, “I’ve become a big believer in the value of having diverse perspectives and the importance of being able to differentiate yourself.”

An experienced employment law litigator and a strategic adviser to employers, Sayre is the regional practice lead for the firm’s Labor and Employment Department in Raleigh. He regularly negotiates complex employment agreements, litigates restrictive covenant matters, and advises on hiring and termination practices, pay policies and practices, employee discipline, employee handbooks, drug testing, background checks and employee safety.

Taking a personal approach to his profession, Sayre prides himself on the close relationships he develops with his clients to understand their businesses and anticipate needs. “We’ve all been employees at one point in our lives and the issues employment professionals deal with are issues that just about everyone can appreciate on a personal level.”

Sayre earned his J.D. from Ohio State University College of Law and his B.S. from John Carroll University.
