Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Pejman F. Sharifi to the New York office as a partner in the Intellectual Property Department.

“Pejman works closely with clients to protect, defend and monetize their intellectual property, offering strategic guidance on patents for products, technology and services in a broad range of industries,” said Janet MacLeod, Fox's New York Office Managing Partner. “We are thrilled to welcome him to our robust team of patent practitioners.”

Drawing on two decades of experience in the high tech and life sciences sectors, Sharifi advises clients on patent strategy, transactions and litigation. He helps clients prosecute and protect patents involving advanced technologies and assists businesses with transactions and investments regarding their intellectual property assets. Sharifi also has significant experience in both offensive and defensive patent infringement lawsuits, providing sophisticated representation informed by a strong technical background and extensive track record in intellectual property law.

Sharifi has been named an IP Star by Managing Intellectual Property since 2014 and listed among the IAM Patent 1000 since 2015. IAM previously noted he is “extremely creative and efficient at procuring patents.” Both of these annual lists identify top patent professionals in key jurisdictions. In Lexology’s 2015 Client Choice Report, clients noted his “great understanding of business objectives and goals” and “valuable insights on how to move forward and obtain the best possible results.”

He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

Prior to joining Fox, he was a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP, where led the patent prosecution practice.
