Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Odia Kagan, partner and Chair of the GDPR Compliance & International Privacy Practice, has received accredited legal specialization from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Those who receive this prestigious Privacy Law Specialist certification have met the rigorous experience and knowledge requirements designated by the IAPP and distinguish themselves as leaders in the privacy law industry.

“There is an increasing importance for legal teams to be well versed on the rapidly evolving area of privacy law,” said J. Trevor Hughes, IAPP President and CEO. “With this designation, Odia demonstrates her qualification to remain at the forefront of this legal field and join other leaders in a key intersection of policy, law and technology.”

The Privacy Law Specialist certification is administered by the International Association of Privacy Professionals and accredited by the American Bar Association. The credential is available to attorneys admitted to a U.S. state bar who pass the CIPP/US exam, as well as either the CIPM or the CIPT programs.

She has assisted more than 80 companies on their path to compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

A leader in the privacy sector, Kagan is on the Publications Advisory Board of IAPP and co-chairs IAPP's Philadelphia KnowledgeNet chapter. She also serves on the Cyberlaw Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Business Section.

Kagan is also a frequent contributor to the firm's Privacy Compliance & Data Security blog, where she provides regular updates on a wide variety of emerging international data privacy and cybersecurity issues.
