The role of the board is critical to the functioning of every cooperative and condominium. It is therefore incumbent on every board to follow certain procedures, rather than handle every issue on an "ad hoc" or emergency basis. This includes having policies on document retention, whether to complete a purchaser's (or their bank’s) questionnaire, and how to address conflicts, just to name a few. The panel will discuss a range of issues facing boards, and make suggestions that will enable a board to operate consistently and efficiently.
