Biography
A seasoned patent attorney, Sam advises clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries on U.S. and international intellectual property matters.
Drawing on experience as in-house and outside counsel, Sam works with the leaders of businesses ranging from startups to publicly traded international companies to develop global patent portfolios for their critical technologies. He has prepared and prosecuted patents covering several marketed therapeutic products, provides strategic advice on the patent-related aspects of product lifecycle management, and has extensive experience leading clients through the intellectual property aspects of the funding events, acquisitions, licensing transactions and collaborations. Before Fox Rothschild
Sam joined us from a boutique intellectual property firm in Seattle. He previously worked at a regional law firm and at a boutique firm in Utah.
Sam has also practiced as in-house counsel, serving as senior IP counsel for NPS Pharmaceuticals and as a patent attorney for Johnson & Johnson.
