Biography

Stephanie is Co-Chair of the firm's Class Action group with a national practice centered on complex commercial, product liability, class action, and insurance litigation matters in federal and state courts.

In every case, Stephanie looks to obtain early victories to help clients avoid protracted litigation. She often works to secure dismissal or to strike or defeat class certification, as well as employs tactics to prompt plaintiffs to voluntarily dismiss their claims. She also develops summary judgment strategies and evidentiary motions to secure dismissal before trial or significantly narrow the claims and redefine a case’s valuation.

Stephanie represents clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, software, technology, insurance, food and retail.

In her practice, Stephanie guides businesses to defend and prosecute high-stakes and complex claims.

Her notable successes in class action work include a complete defense verdict for an insurer in a jury trial, as well as a voluntary dismissal of all class claims in a consumer class action.

In her product liability work, Stephanie has won dismissal at various stages of litigation for manufacturers and has successfully prevented the filing of several multimillion-dollar claims against industrial products manufacturers.

She has also successfully represented several software companies in both pursuing and defending actions, obtaining judgments and achieving favorable settlements in disputes over contracts and software licenses.
