Biography
Erin is an experienced attorney who advises public and private entities on a range of employment issues and workplace litigation.
She provides guidance to employers on a variety of matters, including:
- hiring
- discipline
- termination
- discrimination
- privacy
- defamation
- wage and hour issues
Erin has conducted internal wage and hour audits of large employers regarding potential misclassification of non-exempt employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws. She has also defended businesses against individual and class action litigation involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract and violations of the Americans With Disabilities and Age Discrimination in Employment acts.
In addition, she assists employers with internal investigations involving worker misconduct, provides advice on COVID-19 policy and procedures and assists in drafting employment agreements, including for senior-level employees.
Before Fox Rothschild
Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Erin was an associate at a Chicago labor and employment law firm. Before that, she practiced at a global law firm and a national law firm.
During law school, Erin worked as a summer associate at a national law firm. She earned the University of Illinois College of Law Rickert Award as well as a CALI Excellence for the Future Award.
Erin served in AmeriCorps' City Year program after finishing her undergraduate education.
Beyond Fox Rothschild
Erin is the Founder and Director of Project P.L.E.A.S.E., an enrichment program aimed at providing out-of-classroom experiences and creating a holistic learning environment for adolescents. She is also an active member and committee chairperson in her chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
