Biography

Jacob is a trial-experienced litigator with a national practice focusing on complex commercial and contract disputes in state and federal court.

He supports clients through all stages of the litigation process, from developing pre-litigation risk mitigation strategies through appeal. Jacob's practice focuses on a broad spectrum of complex commercial, consumer, and retail litigation, including defending class actions and multi-district litigation. He has extensive experience litigating in state and federal trial courts. Jacob represents clients from a broad range of industries, including commercial retailers, health insurers and financial institutions. He also regularly represents clients in connection with third-party subpoenas.

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining us, Jacob practiced at two international law firms where he also focused on complex commercial and contract disputes. He formerly clerked for the Honorable Lara J. Genovesi at both the New York State Supreme Court, Kings County and the Appellate Division, Second Department, where he drafted decisions in both civil and criminal cases.

While earning his law degree, Jacob interned for the Honorable Patty Shwartz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and for the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York. He was also a Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing and Research for LL.M. Students taught by Professor Carrie Teitcher. Jacob was an Assistant Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, Appellate Division. Jacob was the Regional Champion and National Quarterfinalist for the 2019 American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition.
