Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs have been designed and implemented with the objective of ensuring fair representation of all groups of workers. As these programs evolved, their application expanded, resulting, in some cases, in unintended consequences. Presenters/panelists in this session will present the history and objectives of DEI programs, landmark cases, and recent changes, and will present an in-depth discussion of the policies and practices challenges facing organizations across the U.S. as they navigate and evaluate the litigation risks under longstanding non-discrimination laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and other Federal as well as State anti-discrimination legislation.
