Biography
Michael is a seasoned litigator who assists clients in resolving a broad range of commercial and environmental disputes in the state and federal trial and appellate courts.
His commercial litigation experience includes complex business and contract disputes, probate matters and trust and estate litigation.
In the area of environmental law, Michael represents clients at the appellate level in matters involving soil and water contamination, including claims filed under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the New Jersey Spill Act and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). He has also represented businesses in appeals involving environmental insurance coverage for Natural Resource Damages and contamination/cleanup costs. In addition, he advises clients on limiting their environmental risk exposure.
Michael’s appellate experience includes cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court, the Superior Court of New Jersey – Appellate Division, the 3rd Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court
Before Fox Rothschild
Michael was previously a summer associate at Fox Rothschild. He also worked as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Anne M. Patterson of the New Jersey Supreme Court. He was a judicial intern to the Honorable Patty Shwartz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and to the Honorable Barry T. Albin of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Michael also has experience as a research assistant for the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on the Rules of Evidence.
Beyond Fox Rothschild
Michael is a member of the Pro Bono Panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. He was previously an English instructor for Teach for America in Wilmington, DE.
