Biography

Biography

Ralf devotes his practice to commercial litigation and construction law, where he counsels general contractors, construction managers, sureties and other construction and real estate businesses through high-stakes disputes across the United States and internationally.

From his office in Miami, he works to resolve construction and design defect litigation through negotiation, litigation, arbitration and mediation. His work spans breach of contract actions, surety bond claims and insurance coverage disputes tied to complex construction projects and real estate matters.

Beyond construction, Ralf has a well-rounded litigation practice that encompasses commercial disputes, shareholder actions, real estate litigation, white collar criminal defense and regulatory compliance. He advises corporate clients navigating internal investigations involving sensitive matters, governmental inquiries, and fraud allegations, with particular depth in anti-corruption frameworks such as the False Claims Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Much of this work has an international dimension, as Ralf has guided clients through investigations and compliance challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Before entering private practice, he built a foundation as a law enforcement professional with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he conducted investigations into public corruption and organized criminal activity in close coordination with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida, an experience that continues to inform his approach to compliance counseling and complex commercial disputes in South Florida and beyond.
