Biography

Sarah is a member of the firm's Real Estate Department and assists clients with a wide range of real estate matters, with a particular emphasis on affordable housing and mixed-finance development.

She provides strategic representation for public housing authorities on forming nonprofit corporations and obtaining tax-exempt recognition. Sarah navigates complex debt and equity financing matters, including mixed-finance transactions, federal low-income housing tax credit transactions, project-based vouchers and project-based rental assistance under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Rental Assistance Demonstration program. She has assisted with numerous affordable housing transactions totaling over $400 million in financing. Sarah also advises public housing authorities on regulatory matters at the federal, state and local level.

Before Fox Rothschild

Sarah was a summer associate at Fox Rothschild. She also served as a judicial extern to Judge John L. Musmanno of the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Prior to her legal career, Sarah worked as the assistant to the president and program assistant at the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, a nonprofit grantmaking institution that supports scientific research. She was also an executive assistant at Hebrew Union College and taught music in an elementary school.

Sarah has spoken at the Allegheny County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and Pennsylvania Association of Housing and Redevelopment Agencies’ (PAHRA) annual and spring conferences, and written for the PAHRA Monitor.
