Biography

Stephanie is recognized nationally and regionally for her skills as a business trial lawyer. She is Co-Chair of the firm’s Directors’ & Officers’ Liability & Corporate Governance Practice Group.

She has served as lead counsel in numerous high-profile litigation matters. In client references provided to Chambers USA, Stephanie was described as “one of the best litigators in the city – aggressive, driven and responsive,” with an “easygoing but powerful presence,” and was noted for her “ability to handle things calmly while maintaining an unflinching stance.”

A leader within the firm, Stephanie is a former Managing Partner of the Philadelphia Office and was a longtime member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She previously chaired the firmwide national Litigation Department, a position she held for seven years. Among the many honors she has received, Stephanie is a recipient of the coveted Sandra Day O'Connor Award, presented by the Philadelphia Bar Association. Named for the first woman justice on the U.S. Supreme Court, the award has been conferred annually since 1993 on a woman attorney who has achieved the highest degree of professional excellence in her field and has visibly used her position and stature in the community to mentor, promote and advance other women lawyers.

Stephanie is also a recipient of the AJC Judge Learned Hand Award in honor of her decades of leadership and achievements in the legal industry and her lifelong contributions to the Philadelphia community. For nearly 40 years, AJC has presented this annual award to a lawyer who embodies the professional accomplishments, humanitarian efforts and civic dedication of Judge Learned Hand, a legendary federal judge who was considered a dean among jurists.
