Fox Rothschild has been selected to Law360’s Regional Powerhouse list for New Jersey. The 2025 list spotlights leading law firms that are at the forefront of emerging legal trends within each state.

Fox’s three New Jersey offices — Atlantic City, Morristown and Princeton — are home to more than 120+ attorneys with “a broad range of expertise,” Law360 noted, spanning litigation, bankruptcy, corporate, environmental, family, intellectual property, labor and employment, real estate, taxation and wealth planning, and white-collar criminal defense.

Law360 highlighted the work of our Gaming Department, which is led by Co-Chairs Marie J. Jones and C.J. Fisher, both based in Atlantic City. “We pride ourselves on a great work ethic and to make sure that we provide A-plus quality legal services,” said Jones, who represented Hard Rock International in its acquisition of the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Nevada and is now assisting with the company’s application for a new casino in New York. Fisher was recognized by the publication for representing Jackpot.com in expanding its lottery courier service to New Jersey, enabling residents to order lottery tickets online.

Partner Peter Butch was highlighted for his intellectual property work in Princeton. Butch represents New Jersey’s Rutgers University and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences in patent prosecution. He also develops and safeguards licensed technology, including an artificial knee meniscus and a process that may convert carbon dioxide into food for astronauts.

Law360 also noted the contributions of Matthew Adams, Co-Chair of the firm’s White-Collar Criminal Defense & Regulatory Compliance Practice, who currently represents the former CEO of Medly Health Inc. in an SEC enforcement action and a federal criminal investigation and a professional basketball agent involved in a conspiracy and wire fraud case.

The firm also handles significant real estate transactions, bankruptcy filings, family law matters and contractual disputes in New Jersey.

The Regional Powerhouse recognition reflects Fox’s strong local influence backed by 1,000 attorneys nationwide. Adams told Law360 that it “allows us to be nimble and resourced enough to represent Fortune 50 companies, but not to lose sight of our bread and butter, which is closely held companies and entrepreneurs, because we are … operating with that local attorney feel, but the resources of the national Am Law 100 powerhouse.”
