Biography

Kathy has three decades of experience helping employers resolve employment disputes, particularly when it comes to correcting tax and fiduciary issues with payroll, executive compensation and employee benefits.

Her national practice includes strategic assistance defending employers in a variety of adversarial proceedings, including employment litigation, trade secrets and no-compete agreement litigation, ERISA matters and fiduciary and tax compliance program disputes. She also handles corrections of plan document and operational errors.

Kathy has a keen understanding of how and when to work with state and federal agencies, which contributes to her successful resolutions of tax issues with the U.S. Treasury and state and local tax authorities. Kathy's shrewd negotiating skills also help resolve complex litigation matters. Even with disputes that entail millions of dollars in employer trade secrets, property, payroll or income taxes, she is focused on finding solutions that mitigate burdens on both impacted employers and employees.

Kathy’s clients include employers across a range of industries, nonprofit organizations, health care providers and school districts. She has handled cases that involve the U.S. Treasury Office of Tax Policy the Department of Labor, Employee Benefit Security Administration and massive payroll corrections involving thousands of employees. She has represented clients before the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Courts and Courts of Appeals throughout the country.

Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Kathy was a partner in a national labor and employment law firm.

Kathy is active in the Roman Catholic Church. She raises and shows German Shepherd dogs and rides Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
