Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates C.J. Fisher on his selection to the list of Sports & Entertainment Trailblazers by The National Law Journal, a sought-after distinction that honors agents of change in the legal industry.

“As a former athlete and avid sports fan who grew up with video games such as Madden and MLB The Show, sports and gaming have always been of significant interest to me, and I actually enrolled in law school with a goal of practicing in that space,” said Fisher in an interview with The National Law Journal.

Fisher, who serves as co-chair of Fox’s nationwide Gaming Department, handles licensing, compliance and regulatory matters across the country. His clients include sports betting, iGaming and esports operators and service providers; data, odds and risk management providers; media companies; marketing affiliates; casino licensees; gaming equipment providers; investors and professional sports leagues.

His efforts are a driving force behind the continued expansion of legal and regulated forms of gaming in the U.S., particularly in the digital space.

“The legalization and regulation of internet gaming in the U.S., as well as the expansion of legalized and regulated sports betting, has greatly accelerated the development and implementation of new technologies and products in the gaming industry…I have been pleased to be able to help my clients clear regulatory hurdles to gain approval of new gaming products and technologies in jurisdictions across the country,” said Fisher.
